When to Replace

Replace the seal plate O-ring if it is flattened, stretched, cracked, brittle, swollen, or no longer seals properly. A worn seal plate O-ring can cause leaks around the pump wet end and may lead to repeat service if not replaced during pump repairs.

Installation Tips

  • Turn off power to the pump at the breaker before servicing.
  • Relieve system pressure and close valves before opening the pump.
  • Remove the old O-ring and clean the seal plate groove before installation.
  • Apply a light coat of pool-safe silicone lubricant to the new O-ring.
  • Make sure the O-ring is seated evenly before reassembling the pump wet end.
  • Inspect the shaft seal, diffuser O-ring, impeller, and other wet-end components while the pump is apart.

Whenever the pump wet end is opened, inspect all O-rings and seals before reassembly. Replacing worn sealing parts during the same repair can help prevent leaks, priming issues, and repeat disassembly.   • Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
  • Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.

  • If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
