Applications & Purpose
This switch ensures the heater will not ignite unless the blower is providing adequate airflow. A worn or faulty air flow switch can cause ignition lockouts, intermittent heating, or failure to start.
Installation Instructions
- Turn off power and gas supply to the heater.
- Remove the access panel and locate the existing air flow switch on the blower housing.
- Disconnect wires and vacuum tubing from the old switch.
- Install the new 42001-0061S switch in the same position and reconnect wiring and tubing.
- Restore power and gas, then run a startup cycle to verify proper heater operation.
Troubleshooting
- Heater will not ignite: Check that the blower is running and that the vacuum tubing is not kinked or blocked.
- Intermittent operation: Inspect tubing for leaks, confirm mounting alignment, and check blower airflow path.
- Air flow switch stuck open or closed: Replace the switch if contacts fail to change state during blower operation.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect the air flow switch and vacuum tubing annually. Ensure tubing is clean, flexible, and free of obstructions. Replace the switch if it shows signs of wear, sticking, or inconsistent operation to maintain safe heater performance.

Return Policy:
- All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
- For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
- Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
- Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in.
- Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.

- If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.

When accepting the Visa Gift card, you agree that if your order is returned or refunded, this amount will be deducted from the refunded amount.
