Hayward DEX2420Z8A O-Ring Kit (Set of 2) for Manual Air Relief Assembly – Pro-Grid® / SwimClear® / HCF
The Hayward DEX2420Z8A is an OEM O-ring kit (set of 2) used to reseal the manual air relief assembly on select Hayward filters. If you have seepage around the air relief, difficulty holding a seal after opening/closing the air bleed, or worn/dry O-rings during service, replacing these O-rings helps restore a tight, leak-resistant seal.

Common Reasons to Replace
- Drips or seepage around the manual air relief assembly
- Air relief won’t seal reliably after operation
- Flattened, cracked, swollen, or brittle O-rings discovered during filter service
- Preventive replacement when servicing or rebuilding the air relief
Installation Notes
- Shut off the pump and relieve filter pressure before servicing the air relief.
- Remove the old O-rings, clean the grooves and mating surfaces, then install the new O-rings evenly.
- Lightly lubricate with a silicone-based pool O-ring lubricant (never petroleum-based).
- After reassembly, restart the system and verify the air relief seals with no drips.

Maintenance Tips
- Open the air relief at startup until a steady stream of water flows, then close—this helps purge trapped air safely.
- Replace O-rings whenever they look flattened or dry; reusing worn O-rings is a common cause of repeat leaks.
- Keep the air relief area clean—grit can nick O-rings and prevent a proper seal.
- Never service the air relief or clamp while the filter is under pressure.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
