The Pentair/Sta-Rite 77707-0013 is a replacement topside control enclosure and membrane keypad kit for select Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm (NA/LP) gas pool and spa heaters. This kit restores the sealed push-button control interface on the heater when the original membrane pad is worn, unresponsive, cracked, or water-damaged, and it replaces the outer enclosure/lid section that supports and protects the controls.

Compatible Heaters

  • Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm (NA/LP series) heaters that specify 77707-0013 on the electrical system parts diagram
  • Common model families: SR200, SR333, SR400 series (verify by your heater data plate and parts diagram)

  • Replaces the sealed membrane keypad so buttons register correctly again
  • Replaces the control enclosure/lid to help protect the topside interface from weather and splash

Installation Notes

  • Turn off power to the heater at the breaker before servicing.
  • Take a photo of existing connections before disassembly to ensure correct reassembly.
  • Inspect wiring and connectors for corrosion or heat damage while the control area is open.
  • After installation, confirm all buttons function and the heater operates normally through start-up and shutdown.

  • Keep sprinkler spray and direct hose water off the control area to reduce moisture intrusion and keypad failure.
  • Ensure the heater is properly bonded/grounded and protected by a functioning GFCI where required.
  • If the keypad fails repeatedly, inspect for water entry paths (cover fit, missing fasteners, cracked housings) and correct the root cause.
  • Maintain adequate clearance and ventilation around the heater—excess heat can shorten the life of control surfaces and plastics.

  • Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.

  • Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
  • Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
  • We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

  • Pool cleaners are not eligible for return.
  • Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
  • Capacitors are not eligible for return.
  • Plastic popup tools are not eligible for return.
  • Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
  • If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
