The Hayward SPX2700UNKIT is a replacement union connector kit designed for Hayward MaxFlo II (SP2700X), MaxFlo XL (SP2300X), and MaxFlo VS pump models. It provides all necessary union components to replace worn fittings, improve sealing, and make pump service or winterization easier without cutting plumbing.

Applications & Compatibility
This union kit is used when existing connectors are cracked, leaking, or worn. It allows the pump to be removed from the plumbing system without cutting PVC, making ongoing service significantly easier. Always confirm your pump model and plumbing size before selecting this kit.
Installation Instructions
- Turn off pump power and relieve pressure from the system.
- Remove the old unions and O-rings from the pump housing.
- Install the new tailpieces onto the plumbing and seat the provided O-rings properly.
- Thread the union lock-nuts onto the pump and tighten by hand until snug—do not overtighten.
- Restart the system and check for any leaks at the union connection points.
Troubleshooting
- Leak at union: Confirm O-ring is seated flat, sealing surfaces are clean, and lock-nut is tightened evenly.
- Union misalignment: Ensure plumbing is properly supported and tailpieces are aligned before tightening.
- Flow issues after installation: Check for obstructions or misalignment inside the plumbing or pump connections.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect union O-rings annually and replace if flattened, cracked or brittle. Replacing tired unions with the SPX2700UNKIT helps prevent leaks and makes ongoing pump maintenance much easier.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
- Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.
- Chemical products are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
- The Pentair Colorsync 618031 is not eligible for return.
- Pool cleaners are not eligible for return.
- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
- Capacitors are not eligible for return.
- Plastic popup tools are not eligible for return.
- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
