Hayward ECX5000BP Filter Head with Vent Valve (Platinum) for Perflex Extended-Cycle D.E. Filters
The Hayward ECX5000BP is an OEM filter head (top cover) with integrated vent valve for Hayward Perflex extended-cycle D.E. filters. This is the upper head that clamps to the filter body and provides the mounting point for the internal bump mechanism, while the vent valve helps bleed trapped air during startup and service.

Installation Notes

Maintenance Tips
- Always shut the pump off and bleed pressure before opening the filter.
- Keep the clamp band and sealing surfaces clean—grit can cause leaks and uneven clamp tension.
- Lubricate large O-rings lightly with a silicone-based pool lubricant to reduce pinching and improve sealing.
- If you see D.E. returning to the pool, inspect internal gaskets/diaphragm components during your next service.

Return Policy:
- All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
- For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
- Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
- Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in.
- Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
