Val-Pak V38-130 Ultra-Flow Pump Volute (2") – Black
The Val-Pak V38-130 is a replacement 2" volute (wet-end housing) designed for select Pentair / American Products Ultra-Flow pool pumps. The volute is the pump housing that directs water from the impeller to the discharge outlet. Replacing a cracked or warped volute can restore proper flow, stop external leaks, and help bring the pump wet end back to original performance.

Installation Notes
- Turn off power at the breaker and close valves before opening the pump.
- Replace the housing gasket when swapping the volute to prevent leaks.
- Inspect the seal plate, diffuser, and shaft seal while the wet end is apart; replacing worn seals during service helps avoid rework.
- Tighten fasteners evenly in a crisscross pattern—do not overtighten.

Maintenance Tips
- Keep baskets and the filter clean—restricted flow increases heat and stress on wet-end components.
- If you ever see water under the pump, check the shaft seal area first; catching small leaks early helps prevent housing damage.
- For freeze-prone areas, fully drain the pump and wet end during winterizing to reduce cracking risk.
- After wet-end service, monitor for drips for the first day of operation and recheck fastener tightness (snug only, not overtight).

Return Policy:
- All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
- For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
- Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
- Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in.
- Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.

- If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- All products denied upon arrival at customers house WILL be charged the cost to ship.

When accepting the Visa Gift card, you agree that if your order is returned or refunded, this amount will be deducted from the refunded amount.
