Description

A high-capacity replacement cartridge offering approximately 200 sq ft of filtration media, designed for superior debris capture and extended filter run times in residential pool systems.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Fits filter tanks that specify the C-8420 cartridge or equivalent geometry (approx. 8-15/16″ outer diameter × 28-3/16″ length with open 4″ end caps).
  • Ideal when the existing cartridge shows high pressure, reduced flow, media tearing or collapse, or when extended filtration performance is desired.

Features & Specifications

  • Filtration area: ~200 sq ft of media.
  • Construction: Pleated polyester media for durability and effectiveness.
  • Dimensions: Outer diameter approx. 8-15/16″; Length approx. 28-3/16″; Open both ends with molded gasket.
  • Media rating: Fine particle capture to support clearer water and longer filter cycles.

Installation Notes

Shut off the pump and relieve system pressure. Open the filter tank and remove the old cartridge element. Clean the tank interior and inspect gaskets/O-rings for wear. Install the new C-8420 cartridge, ensure proper seating and alignment, reassemble the filter, restore circulation and monitor pressure drop to confirm proper installation.

Maintenance Tip

Inspect the cartridge annually or when you observe increased pressure or reduced flow. Rinse the cartridge and consider a cleaner soak if needed. Replace the cartridge if rinsing no longer restores acceptable performance, media is damaged, or the pleats are collapsed.

Return Policy:

  • All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
  • For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
  • Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
  • Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in. 
  • Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
  • Fill out the return form or give us a call to obtain an RMA and return shipping label.

  • No returns on capacitors.
  • If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • All products denied upon arrival at customers house WILL be charged the cost to ship.
  • Visa Gift Card Promotions: Gift cards are sent within 14 days of the order. When accepting the Visa Gift card, you agree that if your order is returned or refunded, this amount will be deducted from the refunded amount. All Visa Gift cards are sent via email in an E-Gift Card format and are non refundable.
