Applications & Compatibility

This cartridge is suitable for spa and pool filter systems originally equipped with a 120 sq ft cartridge specification. Prior to purchasing, please verify the filter tank’s existing cartridge size, dimensions, and part number to ensure compatibility.

Installation Instructions

  • Turn off pump and relieve system pressure before servicing.
  • Remove the old cartridge and inspect the housing interior for debris, damage or worn O-rings.
  • Install the new C-9481 cartridge, making sure it seats correctly and aligns with the manifold or base plate.
  • Close the filter housing, restore circulation and monitor gauge/pressure to ensure proper operation.

Troubleshooting

  • High pressure soon after installation: Check return and suction valves, make sure the new cartridge is properly seated and there are no blockages or restricted flows.
  • Cloudy water or low flow: Confirm the cartridge is correctly sized, pleats not compressed, and the filter lid gasket is sealing properly.
  • Leaks at lid or base: Inspect O-rings, gaskets and ensure correct torque and alignment of housing after cartridge install.

Maintenance Tip

Rinse the cartridge periodically to remove debris and extend life. Use a cartridge cleaner annually as needed. Replace the cartridge when pleats become worn, media damaged or system pressure remains high after cleaning. Regular maintenance ensures longer life and better performance from your filtration system.

  • Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
  • Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
  • Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
  • We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
  • Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.

  • Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
  • Capacitors are not eligible for return.

  • Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
  • If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
