Unicel PG-1905 DE Filter Grid – 48 Sq Ft (Partial / Small), 36" Length
The Unicel PG-1905 is a replacement diatomaceous earth (DE) filter grid used in select vertical-grid DE filters that use a partial / small grid. This grid provides 48 square feet of effective filtration area and is designed to restore proper filtration performance when an existing grid is torn, frayed, or allowing DE powder back into the pool.

Common Signs You Need Replacement
- DE powder returning to the pool through the returns
- Visible tears, worn seams, or fabric deterioration on the grid
- Short filter cycles or cloudy water even after proper cleaning and fresh DE charge
- Persistent debris bypass after confirming correct valve position and intact manifold/air bleed components
Installation Notes
- Always shut off power and relieve filter pressure before opening the tank.
- Inspect the full grid set—if one grid failed, others may be near end-of-life.
- Check the manifold, standpipe o-ring, and air relief parts for cracks or wear while the filter is open.
- After reassembly, recharge the filter with the correct amount of DE per your filter model and size.

Maintenance Tips
- Backwash/clean when pressure rises about 8–10 PSI over your clean starting pressure.
- Open and inspect grids at least once per season; small tears can quickly turn into major DE blow-back.
- Rinse grids thoroughly after cleaning and avoid using stiff brushes that can damage the fabric.
- Keep water chemistry balanced—extreme pH and high calcium can shorten grid life and increase scaling.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
- Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.
- Chemical products are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
- The Pentair Colorsync 618031 is not eligible for return.
- Pool cleaners are not eligible for return.
- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
- Capacitors are not eligible for return.
- Plastic popup tools are not eligible for return.
- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
