Taylor K-2006-6 Complete FAS-DPD Pool & Spa Test Kit  – Chlorine, pH, TA, CH, CYA

The Taylor K-2006 Complete test kit. Each kit uses the FAS-DPD drop-count method for precise free chlorine (FC) and combined chlorine (CC) testing, along with the core balance tests needed to keep pool and spa water clear, comfortable, and properly sanitized.

What This Kit Tests

  • Free Chlorine (FC) & Combined Chlorine (CC) (FAS-DPD titration)
  • pH (with acid & base demand to estimate adjustment needs)
  • Total Alkalinity (TA)
  • Calcium Hardness (CH)
  • Cyanuric Acid (CYA / Stabilizer)

Key Features

  • FAS-DPD accuracy for chlorine (drop-count endpoint test)
  • Includes demand testing to help dial in pH corrections (acid/base demand)
  • Helps prevent common issues: cloudy water, scaling, corrosion/etching, and ineffective sanitizing
  • Each kit typically includes 0.75 oz reagent bottles (standard K-2006 size)

What’s Included (Typical Components Per Kit)

  • FAS-DPD chlorine testing supplies (titration reagents + DPD powder)
  • pH test reagents and comparator block (with acid/base demand scale)
  • Total alkalinity reagents
  • Calcium hardness reagents
  • Cyanuric acid (stabilizer) test reagent and view tube/mixing components
  • Water testing instructions / treatment guide
  • Protective carrying case

Compatibility Notes

  • Designed for chlorine pools, salt pools (chlorine-based), and spas.
  • If you need larger reagent bottles for heavy testing volume, look for the K-2006C (service size, larger reagents).

Ideal For

  • Pool/spa service professionals
  • HOAs, apartments, hotels, and commercial facilities
  • Retail inventory where customers want an accurate, comprehensive test kit

Maintenance Tips

  • Store the kit and reagents in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight; heat can shorten reagent life.
  • Hold dropper bottles straight up for consistent drop size during titration tests.
  • Rinse test cells with fresh water after use and let them air dry to reduce staining and residue.
  • If results become inconsistent, replace older reagents and re-test with a fresh sample.
