Purity Pool PLSLT Pro-Lite Professional Silt Leaf Rake – 18" Wide – Fine Mesh Bag

The Purity Pool PLSLT (Pro-Lite Silt) is a professional-grade 18" leaf rake with a fine silt mesh bag designed to capture small debris that standard nets often miss—sand, grit, pollen, and fine leaf fragments. It’s built with a strong, lightweight frame and a protective rim for dependable performance on service routes and for homeowners who want faster, more thorough cleanups.

Key Features

  • Part Number: PLSLT
  • Type: Leaf rake / deep bag net (silt mesh)
  • Head Size: 18" wide
  • Bag Style: Fine mesh “silt” bag for capturing small debris
  • Frame: Treated aluminum-alloy frame (strong and lightweight)
  • Rim: Protective plastic rim designed to reduce surface marring
  • Back Panel: Reinforced backing panel to help protect the mesh from abrasion
  • Serviceable Design: Rebuild/renew parts are available for the bag and leading edge on many Pro-Lite nets

Best Uses

  • Fine debris pickup from the pool floor (sand, silt, grit, small leaves)
  • Post-storm cleanup when debris breaks down into smaller pieces
  • Routine maintenance for pools that collect dust or fine particulate
  • Vinyl, fiberglass, and plaster pools where a smooth rim is important

Why Choose a Silt Net

  • Captures finer debris than standard leaf rakes
  • Reduces the amount of “cloud” left behind when scooping dusty material
  • Helps limit how much fine debris ends up in the filter basket

Installation & Maintenance Tips

  • Use slow, controlled passes when collecting silt—fast scoops can stir fine debris into suspension.
  • Empty the bag frequently when collecting heavy debris to reduce strain on the mesh and frame.
  • Rinse the net thoroughly after each use to remove grit that can wear the bag over time.
  • Avoid dragging the rim hard across rough surfaces; scoop and lift instead of scraping.
  • Store out of direct sun when possible to extend the life of plastics and mesh.
