The PoolRx+ 331066 Black/White Unit is a mineral-based pool algaecide unit designed for swimming pools from 20,000 to 30,000 gallons. PoolRx+ contains a proprietary blend of minerals that dissolve into the pool water to help eliminate algae, reduce chemical demand, and simplify routine pool care.

This single PoolRx+ unit is commonly used in chlorine, salt, UV, and ozone pool systems where extra algae control is needed during the swimming season. The unit is placed in the skimmer or pump basket and is designed to provide ongoing algae protection for up to 6 months, depending on pool conditions, water chemistry, filtration, splash-out, and backwashing.

  • It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
  • Test pool water for metals such as copper or iron before use, especially if the pool has a history of staining or metal issues.
  • Do not use the wrong size PoolRx+ unit for the pool volume.
  • For best results, start with a clean filter and balanced water before installation.
  • Pool surface, heater, sanitizer, and equipment conditions should be evaluated before adding any mineral product.

Installation Notes

  • Clean or backwash the filter before adding the PoolRx+ unit.
  • Remove debris from the skimmer basket and pump basket before installation.
  • Check that pH is between 7.2 and 7.8 before adding the unit.
  • Check that chlorine is below 10 ppm before installation.
  • Place the unit in the pump basket or skimmer where there is strong water flow.
  • Ideally add the unit when the pump has at least 3 to 4 hours left in the run cycle.
  • Run the pump during the heat of the day and maintain proper circulation.
  • Allow the pool to turn over fully according to the pool’s volume and flow rate.
  • Do not clean or backwash the filter too soon after installation unless the pool is dirty or the product label directs otherwise.

Return Policy:

  • Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
  • Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
  • To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
  • Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
  • Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
