  • Reduces strain on the pump caused by debris loading and restricted flow.

When to Replace

  • Cartridge will not rinse clean or remains discolored after deep cleaning
  • Persistent cloudy water or reduced flow even after cleaning
  • End caps are cracked or the cartridge no longer seats securely

Installation and Maintenance Tips

  • Rinse the cartridge when the filter pressure rises 8–10 PSI over your clean starting pressure.
  • Use a deep-clean filter soak as needed to remove oils and scale, then rinse thoroughly before reinstalling.
  • Always shut the pump off and relieve pressure before opening the filter.
  • Inspect and clean the filter tank O-ring each time you open the filter; lubricate lightly with pool-safe silicone lubricant.
  • For best results, rotate between two cartridges so one can dry fully after cleaning.
