Pentair / Sta-Rite 18201-0300 (aka 18201-0300) 2" 6-Position Multiport Valve with Union Connections
The Pentair / Sta-Rite 18201-0300 is a 2-inch, 6-position multiport filter valve (side-mount style) made of durable ABS and commonly supplied with 2" union connections. It’s used to control filtration and backwashing functions on select Sta-Rite modular D.E. filter systems and other compatible side-mount multiport valve applications.
Valve Positions (Typical 6-Function Multiport)
- Filter – normal operation
- Backwash – reverses flow to clean the filter
- Rinse – settles media/clears lines after backwash
- Waste – bypasses filter to drain
- Recirculate – bypasses filter, returns to pool
- Closed – shuts off flow (pump must be off)

Common Reasons to Replace

- Recurring leaks after servicing internal gaskets/O-rings
Installation Notes
- Shut off power to the pump and relieve all filter pressure before servicing.
- Dry-fit unions and confirm plumbing alignment and clearance for handle movement.
- Use appropriate thread sealant where required and avoid over-tightening plastic fittings.
- After installation, perform a Backwash then Rinse cycle before returning to Filter.
- Never change multiport positions with the pump running.

Maintenance Tips
- Backwash when pressure rises about 8–10 PSI over your clean starting pressure (or per your filter label/manual).
- If you notice a slow drip to waste while on Filter, inspect the diverter gasket and cover O-ring.
- Keep unions and O-rings clean and lightly lubricated with pool-safe silicone lubricant to prevent leaks.
- Shade valves when possible to reduce UV exposure and extend plastic component life.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
- Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.
- Chemical products are not eligible for return under any circumstances.

- Pool cleaners are not eligible for return.
- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
- Capacitors are not eligible for return.
- Plastic popup tools are not eligible for return.
- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
