Applications & Compatibility
This ring is used where the sealing surface of a dome closure has become compromised, such as flattened, cracked or hardened O-ring surfaces. Commonly compatible with Pentair Challenger high-flow pumps, Triton TR100C and TR140C sand filter units. Before ordering, confirm your lid diameter is 8.5″ and the ring cross-section matches the OEM part.
Installation Instructions
- Shut off the pump and relieve all pressure in the filter or pump housing.
- Remove the old sealing ring and clean the groove and lid sealing surface from any debris or residue.
- Seat the new 152509Z ring into the groove evenly, ensuring no twists or pinches.
- Reinstall the closure lid, tighten per manufacturer specifications, restore circulation and check for leaks around the seal.
Troubleshooting
- Leakage after installation: Ensure the new ring is seated flat and the sealing surface is clean and undamaged.
- Ring slips or deforms: Confirm that the correct ring size (8.5″) was used and that the groove is not worn or damaged.
- Pressure spikes or abnormal operation: Check that the closure lid is properly tightened, the ring is not damaged, and the system has been bled of air.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect the sealing ring at each season’s opening. If the ring shows flattening, cracks or discoloration, replace it promptly. A proper seal helps maintain efficiency, prevents leaks, and prolongs the life of your filter system.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.

- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
