Pentair 271148Z Multiport Valve Diverter (Spider) Gasket | 2" Hi-Flow
The Pentair 271148Z is an OEM diverter (spider) gasket used inside select Pentair/PacFab Hi-Flow 2" multiport filter valves. This gasket seals the internal ports as the handle is moved between positions (Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Recirculate, Closed), helping prevent cross-leaks between valve ports and maintaining proper pressure and flow.

Installation Notes
- Shut off power to the pump and relieve all filter pressure before opening the valve.
- Mark the handle position and take photos before disassembly to ensure correct reassembly.
- Clean the diverter groove completely; remove old adhesive residue and debris so the gasket seats flat.
- Use a gasket adhesive recommended for pool valves if your valve design requires bonding the gasket into the groove.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive instructions before putting the valve back into service.
- After reassembly, run Rinse briefly (after Backwash) before returning to Filter.

Maintenance Tips
- Never change multiport valve positions while the pump is running—this is the fastest way to damage the gasket.
- If the handle gets stiff, inspect for sand/debris intrusion and worn internal parts before forcing it.
- Keep the valve shaded when possible; UV exposure can shorten the life of plastic valve components over time.
- If you’re opening the valve for service, inspect the cover O-ring and sealing surfaces at the same time to prevent future leaks.

- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
