Installation & Use Notes

Turn off the pump and release system pressure before opening the filter. Remove the old cartridge, rinse the tank interior, and install the new R173216 element, ensuring it seats properly on the manifold. Replace the lid, restart the system, and check for normal operating pressure.

Maintenance Tips

  • Rinse the cartridge when the pressure gauge rises 8–10 PSI over clean starting pressure.
  • Replace the element when pleats collapse, fabric tears, or cleaning no longer restores flow.
  • Keep a spare cartridge available to swap during cleaning for uninterrupted operation.

  • Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
  • Capacitors are not eligible for return.
  • Plastic popup tools are not eligible for return.
  • Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
  • If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
