Important Installation Notes
- This drain should be installed by a qualified pool professional in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable building, plumbing, and safety codes.
- The drain is designed for installation at the deepest point of the pool and must be installed level at the proper finished height.
- Use properly sized suction plumbing and follow all required flow-rate limitations.
- Pentair recommends maintaining the same suction-line pipe size to the pump whenever possible.
- If the suction line is reduced, maintain at least 40 inches of plumbing between the drain and the reduction.
- A hydrostatic valve assembly may be installed if required for the application and is sold separately.
- Use only the specified 316 stainless steel cover screws supplied or approved for this drain.
- Install cover screws by hand. Do not use power tools or overtighten the screws.

- Pool suction outlets are safety-critical components. Follow the complete manufacturer installation guide before installation or service.
- Do not modify the drain cover, sump, screws, or internal components.
- Replace damaged components immediately and do not operate the pool until the drain has been properly repaired.
- Confirm whether local codes require an additional suction outlet or split-drain configuration.
