- SDX2 Retro is a circulation drain and is not intended to remove debris.
- The drain cover, black support plate, slot plugs, security screws, fasteners, and spacers must be installed correctly for proper operation.
- Do not use power tools to overtighten the drain cover or support plate screws.
- Do not install on seating areas or backrests of seating areas.
- If the support plate cannot be securely fastened, stop installation and consult a qualified pool professional.
- Installation should be performed by a qualified pool professional familiar with suction outlet safety requirements.
Installation Notes
- Turn off all power to the pool, spa, and pump system before installation.
- Remove the existing drain cover and inspect the suction outlet, plaster ring, screw holes, and pool surface.
- Confirm the existing outlet is compatible with the SDX2 Retro support plate before installation.
- Select the correct screws, fasteners, and spacers based on the existing ring or sump condition.
- Attach the black support plate securely to the pool or spa surface.
- Install all required slot plugs into the support plate after the plate is secured.
- Attach the drain cover to the support plate using the supplied security screws and tool.
- Hand tighten screws only; do not use power tools.
- Confirm the cover and support plate are secure before returning the system to service.
- Inspect the installed cover regularly for cracks, loose screws, missing plugs, wear, or damage.

Maintenance Tips
- Inspect drain covers regularly for cracks, missing screws, damaged slots, loose fittings, or worn components.
- Replace damaged or expired drain covers immediately.
- Keep the drain area clear of leaves, hair, fabric, plastic, toys, and other debris.
- Do not operate the pool or spa if a suction outlet cover is missing, loose, cracked, or damaged.
- Confirm screws remain secure and the cover is seated properly after service or pool cleaning.
- Have suction outlet systems inspected by a qualified pool professional as part of routine safety maintenance.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
