Applications & Fitment
This backplate kit is intended for service on Jandy FloPro pump models where the existing plate is cracked, leaking or otherwise compromised. Before ordering, confirm your pump model number and verify that your wet-end matches the FloPro FHPM or VS-FloPro series. Proper installation restores system integrity and reduces risk of motor or hydraulic damage.
Installation Instructions
- Turn off power to the pump and isolate electrical supply.
- Drain or relieve pressure, then remove the pump wet-end assembly to access the backplate.
- Remove the old backplate, mechanical seal and hardware; clean and inspect the mating surface on the pump housing.
- Install the new backplate along with the new mechanical seal, O-ring and bolts supplied in the kit.
- Reassemble the pump wet-end, restore circulation, and monitor for leaks and proper operation.
Troubleshooting
- Leaks at backplate seam: Ensure the O-ring is seated, surfaces are clean and bolts are torqued evenly.
- Reduced flow or pressure issues: A worn or incorrect backplate can cause bypass; replacing with this kit often restores proper flow.
- Noise or vibration: Verify the mechanical seal seating, alignment of the backplate and that bolts are tightened correctly.
Maintenance Tip

- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
