Description
This genuine Hayward gasket is designed for use as the seat or “spider” gasket in 1½″ multiport valves — the five-spoke style version for select Vari-Flo and side-mount sand filter valves. It provides a reliable seal between the diverter rotor and the valve body to ensure correct flow positions and to prevent internal leaks.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits multiport valve models SP0710, SP0710X, SP0711, SP0712 (1½″ ports).
- Also used in some Hayward S200 series and Pro-Series side-mount sand filter valves that use the 1½″ Vari-Flo body.

- Dimensions: approximately 5-5/16″ outside diameter (for 1½″ valve body), fits the groove for correct alignment.

Installation Notes
Turn off pump and relieve pressure in the system. Remove valve cover and rotor. Carefully remove the old gasket (which may be adhered). Clean and inspect the gasket groove for damage or debris. Apply a small amount of lubricant compatible with pool systems if recommended. Install the new SPX0710XD gasket in the groove, ensuring the spokes align correctly with the rotor ports. Reinstall rotor and cover, then cycle the valve through all positions and check for internal leaks or mis-routing of flow before returning to normal service.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect the multiport valve seat gasket annually or when you observe issues such as leaking between positions, overflow through the waste port during normal operation, or inability to hold a filter pressure when the valve is in “filter” mode. Replacing a worn or compressed gasket proactively helps maintain proper valve function and avoids costly valve or liner damage due to mis-plumbed flow.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
