Hayward SP1042 Chrome-Plated Escutcheon Plate (ABS) for 1-1/2" Tubing / Handrail
The Hayward SP1042 is an OEM chrome-plated escutcheon plate made from durable ABS plastic. It’s used to create a clean, finished look where a 1-1/2" handrail, ladder rail, or tubing passes through a deck, mounting surface, or anchor opening. The escutcheon bridges the gap between the opening and the outside diameter of the rail/tube.

Installation Notes
- Slide the escutcheon over the rail/tube and position it flush to the deck surface.
- Confirm the rail diameter and the anchor/opening size before ordering.
- If the rail area is loose or wobbly, inspect the deck anchor/socket and hardware—an escutcheon is cosmetic and does not tighten the rail.

Maintenance Tips
- Rinse with fresh water periodically to reduce mineral spotting and chemical residue.
- Use mild soap and a soft cloth—avoid abrasive pads that can dull the chrome-plated finish.
- If the escutcheon keeps shifting, check the rail anchor/socket for looseness or deck movement and repair the anchor as needed.

Return Policy:
- All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
- For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
- Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
- Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in.
- Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
- Fill out the return form or give us a call to obtain an RMA and return shipping label.

- If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.

- Visa Gift Card Promotions: Gift cards are sent within 14 days of the order. When accepting the Visa Gift card, you agree that if your order is returned or refunded, this amount will be deducted from the refunded amount. All Visa Gift cards are sent via email in an E-Gift Card format and are non refundable.
