Hayward SPX0710XF Vari-Flo Multiport Valve Handle (Replacement)

The Hayward SPX0710XF is an OEM replacement valve handle for select Hayward Vari-Flo multiport valves. If your handle is cracked, stripped, loose, or difficult to operate, this part restores normal “click” positioning and reliable control of your valve settings.

Fits / Compatibility

  • Hayward multiport valve models: SP0710, SP0710X, SP0711, SP0712
  • Also commonly used on select Hayward Pro Series / VL / S200 side-mount sand filter valve setups that use the above valve bodies
  • Often listed as compatible with SP0714T Vari-Flo XL valve applications as well

Tip: Confirm the valve model number on the valve body label (not the filter label) to ensure the correct handle.

Note: The handle pin is often sold separately. If your existing pin is bent, corroded, or missing, replace it at the same time.

Installation Notes

  • Turn pump power off before changing valve positions or servicing the valve.
  • Remove the existing handle pin, swap the handle, and reinstall the pin.
  • Verify the handle points cleanly to each labeled valve position before restarting the system.

Maintenance Tips

  • Never move a multiport handle while the pump is running—always shut the pump off first to protect the gasket and valve body.
  • If the handle feels stiff, inspect the valve top and internal assembly for sand/debris and confirm cover screws are evenly tightened.
  • If you still have leaking or water bypassing between positions after replacing the handle, the internal key/cover assembly or spider gasket may need replacement.

Return Policy:

  • Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.

  • To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
  • Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
  • Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
  • We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

  • If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
