Hayward SP1418DBLK Hydrostream Large Directional Flow Inlet (Black) — 1-1/2" MIP x 3/4" Eyeball
The Hayward SP1418DBLK is an OEM Hydrostream large directional return inlet with an extended flange face and a 3/4" adjustable eyeball opening. It installs at a pool wall return to let you aim return flow for improved circulation and fewer dead spots. This version is finished in black to match darker pool trim and modern pool finishes.

Installation Notes
- Verify your wall return accepts a 1-1/2" male threaded return inlet.
- Hand-tighten and align—avoid overtightening plastic threads.
- Aim returns to improve circulation (often angled slightly downward and across the pool, depending on layout and skimmer location).
- If you replace multiple returns, keep orifice sizes consistent in the same zone for balanced flow.

Maintenance Tips
- Brush around return fittings regularly to prevent debris and scale buildup.
- If the eyeball becomes stiff, remove it and rinse out sand/grit before reinstalling.
- Keep water chemistry balanced to reduce calcium scaling that can restrict the opening over time.
- If overall return flow seems weak, check the pump basket and filter condition first.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
