Hayward ECX1110 Bump Shaft for Perflex® Extended-Cycle D.E. Filters (EC65 / EC75)

The Hayward ECX1110 is a genuine OEM bump shaft used in Hayward Perflex extended-cycle D.E. filters. This shaft is part of the internal bump/cleaning mechanism that “bumps” the flex-tubes to knock off spent D.E. and debris, helping restore flow between full tear-down cleanings.

What It Does

  • Transfers the handle/bump motion into the filter’s internal bump assembly
  • Helps flex the internal tubes so used D.E. drops off and flow is restored
  • Supports smoother, more reliable bump operation when the original shaft is worn or damaged

Installation Notes

  • Turn off the pump and relieve filter pressure before opening the filter.
  • Disassemble per your Perflex model’s parts diagram and replace the shaft in the bump mechanism.
  • Inspect related bump components (handle linkage, washers, seals, and internal parts) while the filter is open.
  • After reassembly, recharge the filter with the correct amount of D.E. for your model.

  • Bump only as recommended for Perflex filters—over-bumping can reduce filtration efficiency.
  • Recharge the correct amount of D.E. after cleaning/servicing to protect the flex tubes and maintain water clarity.
  • If bumping no longer restores flow, perform a full tear-down cleaning and inspect internal gaskets and bump components.
  • Always depressurize the filter before opening or servicing internal parts.

Return Policy:

  • Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
  • Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
  • To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
  • Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
  • Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
  • We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
  • Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.

  • Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
  • Capacitors are not eligible for return.

  • Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
  • If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
