The Anderson FT601 Yellow Syringe Style Pre-Filled Dye Tester is a LeakMaster™ pool leak detection tool designed to help identify water movement around suspected leak areas. The syringe is pre-filled with fluorescent yellow leak locating dye that holds together underwater, making it easier to place dye near cracks, fittings, skimmers, returns, lights, steps, drains, and other suspected leak points.
This dye tester is commonly used by pool service technicians, leak detection professionals, and pool owners when checking for structural leaks, plumbing-related water movement, or suspicious water loss in pools and spas.

How It Works
- Turn off pumps, cleaners, waterfalls, and circulation equipment before testing.
- Allow the water to become as still as possible.
- Place the syringe tip close to the suspected leak area without touching or stirring the water.
- Slowly release a small amount of dye near the suspected leak point.
- Watch whether the dye is pulled toward a crack, fitting, seam, pipe opening, or other area.
- Repeat as needed in other suspected leak locations.
Important Notes
- This item is a pre-filled dye tester only.
- Leak repairs, plugs, putty, patches, pressure test kits, refill dye, and other leak detection tools are sold separately unless otherwise stated.
- Dye testing works best in calm water with pool equipment turned off.
- Wind, currents, active circulation, running pumps, cleaners, or swimmer movement can affect test accuracy.
- A dye test may help identify visible water movement, but it may not locate every underground plumbing leak or hidden structural leak.
- For ongoing water loss, pressure testing or professional leak detection may still be required.
- Always follow the manufacturer’s safety and handling instructions.

Storage and Handling Tips
- Store the syringe capped when not in use.
- Keep dye tester away from excessive heat, freezing temperatures, and direct sunlight.
- Rinse the outside of the syringe after use if exposed to pool water or chemicals.
- Do not allow the applicator tip to contact dirty surfaces before placing it in pool water.
- Keep leak detection dye out of reach of children and pets.
- Replace or refill the tester when dye output becomes weak, diluted, contaminated, or difficult to control.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
- Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.
- Chemical products are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
- The Pentair Colorsync 618031 is not eligible for return.
- Pool cleaners are not eligible for return.
- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
- Capacitors are not eligible for return.
- Plastic popup tools are not eligible for return.
- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
