The Oatey 2336S Pool-Tite 2300 Series Blue Hot PVC Cement is a professional-grade, very-fast-setting solvent cement designed for swimming pool, spa, irrigation, and general PVC plumbing installations.
This medium-bodied blue PVC cement is formulated for use with compatible rigid and flexible PVC pipe and fittings up to 6 inches in diameter with an interference fit. Its fast-setting formula is particularly useful for pool equipment repairs and plumbing installations where quick assembly and pressurization are important.
Pool-Tite Blue Hot Cement is recommended for potable water, pressure piping, and drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications when installed according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Very-Fast-Setting Blue Hot Formula
Oatey's Pool-Tite 2300 Series is commonly described as a Blue Hot PVC Cement because of its very-fast-setting formulation.
The product is intended for applications where installers need to assemble PVC connections quickly.
Its formulation is particularly useful for certain wet-condition repairs and installations requiring rapid pressurization.
Important: Fast setting does not mean immediate full-pressure service. Follow Oatey's current set-time and cure-time tables before pressure testing or operating the plumbing system.
Compatible PVC Pipe and Fittings
Oatey 2336S is formulated for use on compatible flexible and rigid PVC pipe and fittings with an interference fit.
The manufacturer's recommended maximum pipe diameter is 6 inches.

Material Compatibility: This product is PVC solvent cement. Do not use it as a universal adhesive for ABS, CPVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, or other materials unless specifically approved by Oatey.
Application Temperature
Oatey recommends applying Pool-Tite 2300 Series PVC Cement at temperatures between 40°F and 110°F (4°C to 43°C).
Ambient temperature, pipe diameter, humidity, moisture, and system pressure can affect the time required before a completed joint may be placed into service.
Always use the manufacturer's current application and curing instructions.
Do You Need PVC Primer?
Primer requirements depend on the plumbing application and applicable codes.
Oatey states that primer may be omitted for certain non-pressure DWV applications where local plumbing codes permit.
For swimming pool pressure plumbing, follow the applicable installation code, pipe and fitting manufacturer requirements, and Oatey's instructions regarding primer.
Important: Do not assume that PVC primer can be omitted from pool pressure plumbing simply because this is a fast-setting cement.

Application Recommendations
Follow Oatey's current installation instructions and all applicable plumbing requirements.
- Verify that the pipe and fitting materials, sizes, and joint configuration are compatible.
- Cut the PVC pipe square and remove burrs from the pipe end.
- Clean and prepare the mating surfaces according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Apply PVC primer where required.
- Apply Pool-Tite solvent cement according to Oatey's instructions.
- Assemble the joint promptly while the cement remains workable.
- Allow the completed joint to set and cure for the required time.
- Pressure test and operate the system only after the required curing period.
