Aladdin O-172 Hayward Astrolite Light Lens Gasket
The Aladdin O-172 Light Lens Gasket is a replacement pool light lens gasket for compatible Hayward® Astrolite-style underwater light fixtures and select cross-reference pool light applications. This gasket helps seal the lens to the light housing to reduce the risk of water entering the fixture.
This replacement gasket is commonly used when servicing a pool light, replacing a bulb, replacing a lens, or reassembling a fixture where the original gasket is flattened, cracked, stretched, brittle, leaking, or no longer sealing correctly.

Common Signs This Gasket May Need Replacement
- Water or moisture is visible inside the pool light fixture
- Lens gasket is flattened, cracked, brittle, swollen, or stretched
- Pool light was opened for bulb or lens replacement
- Light lens does not seat evenly against the fixture housing
- Fixture leaks after reassembly with the old gasket
- Corrosion, fogging, or water intrusion is visible inside the light assembly

- This item is the light lens gasket only.
- Lens, bulb, face ring, pilot screw, retaining wire, niche, cord, fixture housing, and complete light assembly are sold separately unless otherwise stated.
- Always verify your exact light model, lens size, and parts diagram before ordering.
- This gasket is not universal for all Hayward, Pentair, Purex, Sta-Rite, AmerLite®, IntelliBrite®, pool light, or spa light fixtures.
- Do not reuse an old, compressed, cracked, or brittle pool light gasket.
- If the lens, face ring, housing, cord seal, or niche is damaged, replacing the gasket alone may not stop water intrusion.
- Do not apply silicone sealant, adhesive, or lubricant to the lens gasket unless specifically directed by the light manufacturer.
Installation Notes
- Turn off power to the pool light at the breaker before service.
- Confirm power is off before removing the light fixture from the niche.
- Remove the old gasket and clean the lens and fixture sealing surfaces completely.
- Inspect the lens, face ring, pilot screw, retaining hardware, cord seal, and fixture housing for damage.
- Install the new gasket evenly around the lens according to the fixture instructions.
- Make sure the lens is seated flat and the gasket is not twisted, pinched, or rolled.
- Tighten retaining hardware evenly to avoid uneven gasket compression.
- Check for proper sealing before returning the light to normal operation.
- If there is any uncertainty with underwater light service, use a qualified pool professional or electrician.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
