Century B2841V1 1 Horsepower Square-Flange Motor

Part Number: B2841V1

Description

A full-rated 1 HP single-speed motor with a 56Y square-flange (C-face) design and threaded shaft, intended for pool and spa circulation systems. Offers reliable performance and a direct replacement fit in many common pump models.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • 1 HP full-rated output, 3450 RPM • Supports dual voltage 115 V or 208-230 V in a single unit.
  • 56Y frame size with square flange mounting—easy drop-in for many C-face pump housings.
  • Designed for use when the original motor shows high current draw, excessive noise, vibration, or reduced pump performance.

Features & Specifications

  • Horsepower: 1 HP full-rated.
  • Frame: 56Y square flange.
  • Shaft type: Threaded stainless steel.
  • Speed: 3450 RPM, single‐speed, single phase.
  • Construction: Permanent‐split capacitor, sealed ball bearings, open drip-proof design.

Installation Notes

Disconnect power and lock out the circuit. Remove the pump and old motor, ensure the new motor matches frame, shaft and mounting configuration. Mount motor to the pump housing using square flange, align coupler or impeller as required, connect wiring based on voltage label, restore power and monitor current draw, flow and vibration during startup.

Maintenance Tip

During annual pump service, check motor bearings for smooth rotation, inspect for excess vibration or heat, verify wiring connections and ensure proper cooling. Replacing the motor when symptoms begin—rather than waiting for failure—helps avoid unscheduled downtime and protects associated equipment.
