Installation Instructions
- Turn off main power to the pool pump and lock out the circuit before servicing.
- Drain or relieve pump housing pressure, disconnect the wiring according to motor wiring diagram.
- Remove the old motor, keeping the same mounting configuration and note shaft spacing and alignment.
- Mount the new B2983 motor using the square flange holes, ensure shaft engages pump coupling correctly.
- Wire the motor per label instructions for desired speed (high or low), restore power and test operation in both modes.
Troubleshooting
- Motor fails to start: Verify correct wiring, check capacitor (if applicable), ensure correct voltage supply.
- Pump vibration or noise: Confirm shaft alignment, pump impeller clearance, tight mounting bolts and balanced rotor.
- Low flow on low speed mode: Ensure plumbing and filter are clean, pump impeller is sized appropriately for low-speed operation.
Maintenance Tip
Check motor mounting bolts, pump alignment and cleanliness annually. Lubricate any required parts if applicable, ensure motor is ventilated and free of debris. Replacing worn bearings or coupling during motor changeover helps protect the new B2983 from premature wear.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.

- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
