Description
This kit provides a dedicated 3″ PVC air intake duct system designed for indoor installations of Pentair MasterTemp® pool heaters, enabling proper combustion air supply where outdoor air access or clearance may be limited.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Designed for use with Pentair MasterTemp pool heaters installed indoors or in locations where external combustion air is insufficient.
- Allows the heater to draw air from a remote location via the included 3” PVC duct to meet manufacturer and code requirements.
- Applicable for in-ground pool heater setups where proper venting and combustion air clearance must be maintained.

- Includes: heater panel with pre-cut opening, air orifice adapter, short section of 3″ PVC pipe, 3″ PVC union and screened termination cap.
- Nominal duct size: 3″ PVC; purpose-built for combustion air intake.

Installation Notes
Shut off power and fuel supply to the heater. Remove the existing air intake panel on the heater cabinet and install the supplied panel kit. Connect the 3″ PVC union and pipe to the air inlet orifice adapter. Route the duct to the termination cap outdoors or to a ventilated space in accordance with local building and mechanical codes. Secure all connections and verify the intake path is unobstructed. Power on the heater and observe proper ignition and operation.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect the termination cap and duct annually for blockage, insect ingress or debris. Ensure the union and gasket remain tight and corrosion-free. Replacing or servicing the duct system when clearance changes or building modifications occur helps maintain reliable heater operation and optimal combustion performance.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
- Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.
- Chemical products are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
- The Pentair Colorsync 618031 is not eligible for return.
- Pool cleaners are not eligible for return.
- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
- Capacitors are not eligible for return.
- Plastic popup tools are not eligible for return.
- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
