The Polaris 6-505-00 is a replacement O-ring seal used on the Polaris quick disconnect connection at the Universal Wall Fitting (UWF). This O-ring helps create a tight seal between the wall fitting/quick disconnect and the cleaner hose connection to prevent leaks, reduce spraying, and maintain strong water flow for proper cleaner performance.

Installation Notes

  • Turn off the pump before disconnecting the cleaner hose.
  • Remove the old O-ring and clean the sealing groove/surfaces to remove grit and scale.
  • Lightly lubricate the new O-ring with silicone pool lube (do not use petroleum-based grease).
  • Reinstall and confirm the connection seats fully and does not leak when running.

Installation & Maintenance Tips

  • Keep the wall fitting screen/filter clean—restricted flow can increase turbulence and make leaks more noticeable at the connection.
  • Use only a light film of silicone lube on the O-ring; excess lubricant can attract dirt and shorten seal life.
  • If you still see spraying with a new O-ring, inspect the quick disconnect body for cracks, warping, or worn sealing surfaces.
  • Store the cleaner and hose out of direct sun when possible to reduce UV damage to plastics and seals.

Return Policy:

  • All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
  • For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
  • Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
  • Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in. 
  • Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.

  • If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
