Hayward RCX26002 Replacement Cartridge – 25 sq ft Filter Element

Part # RCX26002 — a replacement filter cartridge designed for compatible Hayward pool or spa filter systems requiring a 25 sq ft element. This cartridge delivers clean, clear water by capturing dirt, debris, and contaminants while allowing efficient circulation.

Key Features

25 sq ft of quality pleated filter media for reliable filtration performance.
Compact dimensions — ideal for small pools, spas, or auxiliary filtration systems using 25 sq ft cartridges.
Open-top and open-bottom design for quick installation and secure seating in compatible housings.
Durable end caps and pleated media engineered to withstand repeated cleaning and pool chemicals.

Typical Applications

Best suited for small pools, spas, or compact filtration units where a 25 sq ft cartridge is specified. Often used during cartridge replacement when original filters are clogged, damaged, or when performance drops.

Installation & Compatibility Notes

Before installation, shut off the pump and relieve pressure. Remove the existing cartridge, clean the filter housing, and insert the new RCX26002 cartridge, ensuring it seats properly. Reassemble the filter unit, refill and prime, then verify normal flow and pressure before resuming regular operation.

Why Choose This Cartridge?

The RCX26002 offers dependable filtration in a small, easy-to-manage element — perfect for spas, small pools, or secondary filtration systems. Its compact size and robust construction make it a convenient and effective replacement choice.

Maintenance & Care Tips

Rinse the cartridge thoroughly when pressure rises about 8–10 psi above clean starting pressure.
Perform a deep clean or replace the cartridge if pleats become clogged, damaged, or deform under pressure.
Inspect end caps before reinstalling to ensure a secure seal and prevent bypass.
Have a spare cartridge on hand to minimize downtime during cleaning or replacement cycles.
