Common Reasons to Replace
- Weir is cracked, warped, brittle, or missing
- Weir no longer swings freely (binding or broken hinge/pivot)
- Poor surface skimming or debris drifting back out of the skimmer
Installation Notes
- Clean the skimmer throat area before installation so the weir can swing freely.
- Install so the weir pivots smoothly without rubbing the skimmer opening.
- If the weir repeatedly sticks, check water level and remove debris lodged around the pivot area.
