Applications & Fitment
This screw set is intended for use with Hayward Auto-Skim Series skimmers and related models that require longer screws to securely attach the face plate or cover. Before installation, verify that your skimmer face plate mounting uses 1¼″ screws and that the original screws are compatible with the replacement set.
Installation Instructions
- Turn off the pool pump and ensure no debris is obstructing the skimmer face plate.
- Remove the old screws from the face plate and inspect the mounting holes for damage.
- Position the new face plate or cover, align mounting holes, and install the SPX1084Z4AM screws until the face plate is snug but not over-tightened.
- Restore pool circulation and verify the face plate is tight and properly seated with no gaps.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Screw heads strip or spin freely: Ensure the driver matches the screw head type and that screw holes are undamaged.
- Face plate lifts or is loose: Confirm you used the correct length (1¼″) screws and that the holes are not worn or elongated.
- Corrosion at screw interface: Replace screws and inspect that the face plate flange is clean and properly sealed.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
