Hayward SP1022S Return Wall Fitting

Description

A white ABS in-ground pool wall return fitting designed for concrete or gunite pools. The rear of the fitting connects to 1½″ socket/slip pipe, and the front accommodates 1½″ female threaded components such as eyeball fittings, directional returns or vacuum ports.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Designed for use in in-ground concrete or gunite pools when the return plumbing uses 1½″ slip connection and the accessory or eyeball uses 1½″ female threads.
  • Ideal replacement when the original return fitting is cracked, warped, leaking, discolored or missing.
  • Compatible with systems specifying the SP1022S model form-factor.

  • Body material: durable ABS plastic engineered for pool water environments.
  • Back connection: 1½″ socket (slip) for direct PVC glue installation.
  • Front connection: 1½″ female threads to accept standard returns, eyeballs or vacuum ports.
  • Color: White — blends with pool wall finish and matches standard accessories.

Installation Notes

Turn off pump and relieve system pressure. Cut the existing pipe flush or remove the previous fitting. Clean hose pipe, deburr, dry and apply PVC primer/solvent cement. Insert the SP1022S fitting full-depth and hold until bond sets. Install the eyeball or accessory into the front threads, check alignment and system operation, then restore filtration circulation and verify no leaks.

Maintenance Tip

Inspect the return fitting each season for cracking, discoloration, looseness or seepage around the seams. Replace immediately if any of these conditions appear to maintain system integrity and avoid structural or hydraulic issues.

Return Policy:

  • All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
  • For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
  • Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
  • Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in. 
  • Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
  • Fill out the return form or give us a call to obtain an RMA and return shipping label.

  • No returns on pool cleaners.
  • No returns on opened seals and o-rings.
  • No returns on capacitors.
  • If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • All products denied upon arrival at customers house WILL be charged the cost to ship.
  • Visa Gift Card Promotions: Gift cards are sent within 14 days of the order. When accepting the Visa Gift card, you agree that if your order is returned or refunded, this amount will be deducted from the refunded amount. All Visa Gift cards are sent via email in an E-Gift Card format and are non refundable.
