The Hayward DEX6020BTC is a complete OEM filter head (upper tank body/lid) with clamp system designed to restore a secure, service-friendly seal between the upper and lower halves of compatible Hayward filters. It’s the go-to replacement when the original head is cracked, warped, leaking at the clamp seam, or no longer seals reliably after years of heat/UV exposure.

Installation Notes
- Turn off the pump and relieve filter pressure at the air relief before opening the filter.
- Clean the tank flange and sealing surfaces thoroughly; grit can cause leaks and uneven clamping.
- Seat the tank seal evenly and clamp the head down uniformly—tighten according to the filter’s instructions.
- After restart, bleed air until a steady stream of water flows, then inspect the clamp seam for seepage.

Maintenance Tips
- Never loosen a clamp or open the filter while it is under pressure—always shut off the pump and bleed air first.
- Keep the clamp band and sealing surfaces clean; debris under the clamp or seal is a common cause of leaks.
- Lightly lubricate the tank seal with a silicone-based lubricant (avoid petroleum products) to help prevent pinching and improve sealing.
- If you see repeated seepage at the seam, inspect for flange damage/warping and replace worn seals rather than overtightening the clamp.

Return Policy:
- All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
- For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
- Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
- Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in.
- Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
