Description
A diaphragm gasket designed for use in Hayward Perflex D.E. filters (models EC40, EC50A and similar). This gasket helps seal the tube sheet to the filter tank body, preventing D.E. bypass and ensuring proper system performance.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits Hayward Perflex EC40 and EC50A extended-cycle D.E. filter models.
- Ideal when the filter is leaking D.E. powder into the pump basket or back into the pool, or if you notice that the gasket is flattened, torn or missing.
- Direct replacement for systems originally equipped with the ECX1003 gasket part number.

Installation Notes
Shut off the pump and relieve system pressure before servicing. Open the filter tank and remove the lid or head. Extract the old gasket and clean the sealing surfaces thoroughly. Install the new ECX1003 gasket ensuring it seats evenly in the groove. Reassemble the filter, restore water circulation, and monitor system pressure to confirm proper sealing and performance.
Maintenance Tip
Inspect this gasket each season—if you observe hardening, cracking, flattening or slip of D.E. powder past the tube sheet, replace the gasket to maintain filtration efficiency and avoid equipment strain or premature wear.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- Chemical products are not eligible for return under any circumstances.

- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.

- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
