Description

This weir assembly is designed for the Hayward Dyna-Skim series above-ground skimmers. It acts as the floating flap that regulates surface water flow into the skimmer while helping prevent debris bypass.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Fits Hayward Dyna-Skim skimmer model SP1089 (and variants) where the original weir has worn, cracked or stuck.
  • Dimensions approximately 7-7/16″ width × 5-3/8″ height—verify fitment with existing skimmer.
  • Ideal for above-ground pools using the SP1089 skimmer body requiring a direct weir replacement. 

Features & Specifications

  • Includes the snap-in flap with bumper pad to help absorb impact and allow proper seating. 
  • Precise dimensions: ~7.5″ × 5.3″ × 1″ deep (approximate flange depth) for correct housing fit. 
  • Color: White (standard finish) unless a specialty-color variant is noted.

Installation Notes

Turn off circulation and reduce water flow so the skimmer is not generating suction. Remove the old weir by pulling straight out of the skimmer throat. Clean the cavity and check for warping of skimmer sidewalls, which may cause the flap to bind. Insert the new weir, ensuring the pins engage smoothly and that the flap moves freely without sticking. Resume flow and observe for proper skimming action without debris bypass.

Maintenance Tip

Inspect the weir each service visit. Replace if the flap is cracked, stained severely, or no longer floats well. Proper weir action helps maintain optimal skimming efficiency and reduces strain on the pool pump system.

Return Policy:

  • All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
  • For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
  • Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
  • Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in. 
  • Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
  • Fill out the return form or give us a call to obtain an RMA and return shipping label.

  • If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • All products denied upon arrival at customers house WILL be charged the cost to ship.
  • Visa Gift Card Promotions: Gift cards are sent within 14 days of the order. When accepting the Visa Gift card, you agree that if your order is returned or refunded, this amount will be deducted from the refunded amount. All Visa Gift cards are sent via email in an E-Gift Card format and are non refundable.
