Applications & Compatibility

This cartridge is intended for use in pool filter systems that originally required a 175 sq ft cartridge element such as the Hayward Star-Clear or X-Stream series. Before purchasing, check your filter housing label and compare with your existing cartridge dimensions, end-cap style and part number to ensure compatibility.

Installation Instructions

  • Turn off the pump and relieve system pressure before opening the filter tank.
  • Remove the old cartridge, inspect the tank for debris and confirm gasket or O-ring condition.
  • Place the new CX1750RE cartridge into the tank, ensuring proper alignment and seating.
  • Reinstall the lid/clamp, restore circulation and check pressure gauge for normal operating values.

Troubleshooting

  • High filter pressure after installation: Check for closed return/valve restrictions, verify correct cartridge size and ensure the lid is properly sealed.
  • Low flow or cloudy water: Confirm the cartridge is correctly seated, pleats are not collapsed and the filter housing is not leaking or bypassing unfiltered water.
  • Cartridge won’t fit or is too small: Double-check your filter model and old cartridge dimensions—ensure you’re replacing with the appropriate size and part number.

Maintenance Tip

Regularly rinse the cartridge to remove surface debris and conduct a deeper clean with a dedicated cartridge cleaner at least once per season. Replace the cartridge when pleats are damaged, flattened or if system pressure remains elevated after cleaning. Proper care of the CX1750RE helps maintain clear water and efficient pump operation.

Return Policy:

  • All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
  • For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
  • Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
  • Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in. 
  • Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
  • Fill out the return form or give us a call to obtain an RMA and return shipping label.

  • If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • All products denied upon arrival at customers house WILL be charged the cost to ship.
  • Visa Gift Card Promotions: Gift cards are sent within 14 days of the order. When accepting the Visa Gift card, you agree that if your order is returned or refunded, this amount will be deducted from the refunded amount. All Visa Gift cards are sent via email in an E-Gift Card format and are non refundable.
