The Pentair 274416Z Center Diverter is a genuine replacement internal diverter for compatible Pentair FullFloXF® backwash valve assemblies. This part is used inside the valve body to help direct water flow between filter, backwash, rinse, waste, and other valve positions, depending on the valve configuration.
This replacement center diverter is commonly used when the FullFloXF backwash valve is leaking to waste, bypassing internally, difficult to operate, not sealing properly, or has a cracked, worn, or damaged internal diverter component.

- This part is not universal for all Pentair backwash valves, push-pull valves, diverter valves, or multiport valves.
- If the valve body, waste seal, O-rings, handle assembly, or sealing surfaces are damaged, replacing the center diverter alone may not stop leaks or bypass.
- Always turn off the pump and relieve system pressure before servicing any pool valve.
Installation Notes
- Turn off the pool pump before servicing the valve.
- Relieve all system pressure before removing the valve cover or internal components.
- Mark the valve position before disassembly if needed.
- Inspect the center diverter, waste seal, spring, O-rings, valve body, and handle assembly during service.
- Clean sand, debris, scale, or old lubricant from the valve body before reassembly.
- Replace worn O-rings and seals whenever the valve is opened for repair.
- Apply a light coat of pool-safe silicone lubricant to O-rings only.
- Do not use petroleum-based lubricants on rubber seals.
- Reassemble the valve evenly and do not overtighten screws or fittings.
- Restart the system and check for leaks, bypass, and proper valve operation.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.

- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
