What This O-Ring Does

Installation Notes
- Turn the pump off and relieve pressure before opening any collar/union connection.
- Remove the old seal and clean the sealing groove and mating surfaces (remove grit, scale, and old residue).
- Install the new tri-lobe O-ring evenly in the groove—do not twist.
- Lightly lubricate with a pool-safe silicone lubricant (avoid petroleum-based lubricants).
- Hand-tighten the collar/union evenly and recheck for seepage after the system is running.
Maintenance Tip
Most collar leaks are caused by debris on the sealing faces or a dry, flattened O-ring. Cleaning the mating surfaces and lightly lubricating the new seal helps it seat properly and can prevent repeat leaks after the next service.
