Compatibility & Installation Notes
This kit is designed for Pentair variable-speed pump models and single-speed models that share the same pump platform. Before installing, confirm the existing pump’s model number and manufacture date to ensure compatibility. When replacing the seal plate kit, power off the pump, relieve system pressure, open the pump housing, remove the existing seal plate/gasket, clean the sealing surface thoroughly, then install the new kit and reassemble per manufacturer torque instructions.
Troubleshooting & Service Tips
- Leakage at motor housing: Check that the gasket is properly seated, seal plate bolts are evenly torqued, and the mechanical seal is correctly installed.
- High motor moisture or corrosion: A worn or improperly installed seal plate/gasket is a common cause—replacement of the entire kit typically resolves this issue.
- Pump failing to prime or low suction: Ensure the seal plate is correctly aligned, the gasket isn’t pinched, and the shaft seal is not leaking internally.
Maintenance Tip
As part of your annual pump service, inspect the seal plate area for signs of moisture, corrosion, or leaks. Even if no leak is present, replacing the seal plate kit at the first sign of wear or damage can save on future downtime and protect the pump motor. Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
