Installation Instructions
- Turn off all power supply to the pump and lock out the circuit.
- Drain or relieve pressure from the pump housing if needed, then remove the pump motor from the housing.
- Disconnect the old motor wiring and record connections or photograph wiring setup.
- Install the new B228SE motor onto the pump housing, align the C-face mount and secure bolts evenly.
- Wire the motor for the correct voltage (either 115 V or 230 V) following the label diagram on the motor housing.
- Reinstall any removed components, restore power, and test the motor operation—check for smooth start, correct rotation, no vibration, and proper flow.
Troubleshooting
- Motor fails to start: Confirm correct voltage wiring, check circuit breaker, inspect capacitor (if applicable) and ensure rotation direction is correct.
- Excessive vibration or noise: Verify motor mounting bolts are tight, shaft coupling alignment is correct, and pump impeller is free of obstruction.
- Low flow or high temperature: Ensure the pump housing is clear of debris, suction strainer is clean, and the motor is not overloaded.
Maintenance Tip
Keep the motor area free of debris, ensure ventilation is unobstructed, check coupling alignment annually, and replace any worn shaft seals or bearings during motor service. Doing so helps extend the life of the B228SE and your pump system.

- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.

- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
