Pentair 35505-1440Z Lid/Locking Ring O-Ring
The Pentair 35505-1440Z is a replacement lid/locking ring O-ring used on select Pentair and Sta-Rite pool pump strainer assemblies. This O-ring helps create a tight seal between the pump lid and pump trap body, helping prevent air leaks, water leaks, and loss of prime.

When to Replace
Replace this O-ring if the pump lid is difficult to seal, the pump is pulling air, the lid area is leaking, the O-ring is stretched, flattened, cracked, brittle, or no longer sits properly in the groove. A worn lid O-ring can cause priming problems and reduced pump performance.
Installation Tips
- Turn off power to the pump before servicing.
- Relieve pressure from the system before removing the pump lid.
- Remove the old O-ring and clean the lid and O-ring groove thoroughly.
- Apply a light coat of pool-safe silicone lubricant before installation.
- Seat the O-ring evenly in the groove before tightening the lid.
- Hand-tighten only unless your pump manual states otherwise.

Maintenance Tips
Inspect the pump lid O-ring whenever cleaning the pump basket. Keep the O-ring clean and lightly lubricated to help prevent sticking, twisting, and premature wear. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants, as they can damage rubber seals. Always verify your pump model and existing part number before ordering replacement parts.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- Pool cleaners are not eligible for return.
- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
- Capacitors are not eligible for return.

- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
