  • Verify your exact control system model and part number before ordering.
  • This part should only be used on compatible Hayward / Goldline systems that require GLX-PC-12-KIT.
  • Temperature sensor issues can also be caused by damaged wiring, loose terminal connections, control board problems, or incorrect system configuration.
  • Always turn off power to the control system before opening the panel or servicing wiring.

Installation Notes

  • Turn off power to the pool equipment and control system before installation.
  • Relieve system pressure before drilling, removing, or installing any plumbing-mounted sensor.
  • Install the sensor in the correct plumbing location according to the equipment manual.
  • Make sure the sensor O-ring or sealing area seats properly against the pipe.
  • Position the hose clamp over the sensor and tighten gently until sealed.
  • Do not overtighten the hose clamp, as overtightening may damage the sensor or plumbing.
  • Route the sensor cable away from sharp edges, high heat, and moving equipment.
  • Reconnect wiring according to the Hayward control system instructions.
  • After installation, verify that the control system displays a reasonable water temperature reading.

Maintenance Tips

  • Inspect sensor wiring periodically for cuts, rodent damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
  • Keep low-voltage sensor wiring separated from high-voltage wiring where required by the equipment manual.
  • Check for water leaks around the sensor after installation or service.
  • Do not pull or strain the sensor cable during equipment pad repairs.
  • Maintain proper pool water chemistry to help reduce scale buildup around plumbing-mounted components.
  • If temperature readings remain incorrect after sensor replacement, inspect the control board, terminals, and system settings.
