Lasco 437101 (437-101) Schedule 40 PVC Reducer Bushing – 1" Spigot x 1/2" Slip (Socket) – White

The Lasco 437101 (also listed as 437-101) is a Schedule 40 PVC reducer bushing used to step down from a 1" hub/socket fitting to 1/2" PVC pipe. The 1" spigot end glues into the socket of a 1" PVC fitting (tee, coupling, valve, etc.), while the 1/2" slip (socket) end accepts 1/2" PVC pipe for a solvent-weld connection.

  • Spigot end: Glues into a 1" slip socket (hub) on another fitting (it does not glue onto 1" pipe).
  • 1/2" socket end: Glues to 1/2" PVC pipe using primer and PVC cement rated for pressure plumbing.
  • Dry-fit first: Confirm alignment and insertion depth before cementing.
  • Support the line: Reduce pipe strain so the bushing isn’t carrying bending stress.

  • Deburr/chamfer pipe ends and keep sockets clean and dry for the strongest solvent-weld joint.
  • Use fresh primer/cement and follow cure-time guidance before pressurizing (temperature and humidity affect cure time).
