Description

A solid white Schedule 40 PVC cap designed to provide a secure, solvent-welded closure on 1½″ nominal socket-end PVC pipe runs. Great for sealing off unused lines, dead-ends, or maintenance access points in pool, spa or general plumbing systems.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Fits 1½″ nominal size Schedule 40 PVC socket-end pipe systems.
  • Use when a line is no longer required, the existing cap is missing/damaged, or you are installing a dead-end for future tie-in.
  • Drop-in replacement for systems specifying part number 447-015.

  • Material: Rigid PVC Type I, cell-classification 12454-B (molded).
  • Nominal size: 1½″ socket-end (slip) connection.
  • Schedule: 40 rating for standard pressure and plumbing use.
  • Color: White.
  • Length approx. 2¼″.

Installation Notes

Ensure the system is depressurized. Clean and deburr the pipe end, apply appropriate PVC primer then solvent-cement, fully insert the pipe into the cap’s socket, and hold until set. Mask off area if necessary and restore service pressure after cure time. Inspect for proper adhesion and no leaks.

Maintenance Tip

Inspect the cap periodically for cracks, discoloration or leaks around the socket joint, particularly in outdoor or chemically exposed environments. Replace if compromised to maintain system integrity.

Return Policy:

  • All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
  • For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
  • Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
  • Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in. 
  • Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
  • Fill out the return form or give us a call to obtain an RMA and return shipping label.

  • If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • All products denied upon arrival at customers house WILL be charged the cost to ship.
