Applications & Fitment
This basket is ideal for replacing worn or damaged skimmer baskets in AquaStar FlowStar or standard AquaStar skimmer installations. Proper basket fit ensures debris is captured at the skimmer throat, preventing large particles from entering the pump and filtration system and helping maintain prime and suction balance.
Installation Instructions
- Turn off pump and system pressure before accessing the skimmer.
- Remove the skimmer lid and lift out the old basket.
- Inspect the skimmer throat and housing for obstructions or damage.
- Insert the SK6 basket ensuring the stainless steel handle is accessible and the basket sits flush in the throat.
- Replace the skimmer lid, restore system operation and verify proper water flow and suction into the skimmer.
Troubleshooting
- Basket floats or shifts: Verify basket is correctly seated and that the handle is fully engaged; ensure the skimmer throat dimensions match.
- Excess debris bypassing basket: Confirm basket is the correct size and shape for your skimmer model and that debris is not entering between the basket edge and skimmer wall.
- Air entry or suction issues: Ensure the skimmer lid seal is intact and the basket sits correctly to maintain skimmer prime.
Maintenance Tip
Periodically remove and clean the SK6 basket during your routine pool service. Empty debris, rinse with a hose to clear fine particles and inspect the stainless steel handle for signs of corrosion or loosening. A clean and properly seated skimmer basket helps preserve pump health, reduce wear, and maintain optimal circulation performance.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
- Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.

- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
- Capacitors are not eligible for return.

- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
